I have the fondest memories of my childhood cats and dogs, across all breeds. Since I had my twins in 2005, I simply didn't have the space to care for another. It was my business partner and dear friend Helen whom insisted that I take on this little French Bulldog. I had no idea about the breed, nor that they were so popular. Well, that was that. The start of a new love affair that completely took me by surprise. I was taught that dogs must sleep outside, so when she arrived the first night I tried that. Well, Chloë would have none of that! Frenchies insist on being a full part of the family. Their loyalty and affection is irresistible and leaves you with no other choice. On that day I became a canine mom.
Ever since, I have bought so many items to make a home for her, but nothing hit the mark... not for her, nor for me. Either her bed was easy to clean, but just too hard for her. Or the bed was perfectly comfortable for her, but it smelled and just didn't look good in the home. My daughter started wrapping her in her own blankie at night, which she loves. All I wanted was a bed that looks good, washes easily, travels easily and that Chloë could snuggle into. |

I always dreamt that I was going to get married at the age of 25 to a handsome hunk, have my first daughter Sofi at age 27, then my 2nd daughter Heleni at age 29 and then my happy family would be complete at age 30… including a white picket fence.
In reality… I met my loving hunk Marc a little bit later in life than anticipated, with an all grown up beautiful daughter, Chey and a 6 year old furry child, Roxy, our old princess kitty. To this day the best R50 my husband ever spent. Then came the arrival of my dearest dude Finn, 8 years ago at the age of 8 weeks, the biggest gift from my sister, Almarié and her furry child-mom Kia. My family unlocked corners in my heart to love in ways I never realised was possible. Being true to my Cancerian nature, yes overbearingly caring, all I want is for the entire world to be safe and snug when there is nobody around for a cuddle. So, I am living the dream. Finn, the perfect needy compliment to my nurturing personality, inspired our product and continued contributing enthusiastically as product developer, through relentless testing.
